"I've stayed here for a few nights, and im happy with the experience. Hotel staff are very helpful. Location is very central, it's the tenderloin, but I never felt unsafe, even at night. Value for money is awesome for a couple spending the days out exploring. It exceeded my expectations for a humble hotel. Many thanks to the staff!"

"The hotel was clean inside and the room in good order. Nothing fancy but the TV worked and wifi is free. Only some issues. The room I got was facing a brick wall and the neighborhood is sketch....BUT the manager does a great job of restricting access from non residents, and I felt secure inside. I would stay here again."

Out of the bargain hotels in the Tenderloin, The Bay rises to the top of the competition. It's not even fair to call it a bargain hotel, because it's a solid 3 star hotel.
